YOUR GYM NEEDS YOU!

3 times we've been locked down and kept away from our Sanctuaries of Iron. We've resorted to working out in the garages, basements and sheds, but it's not the same. We don't have the same weights, the variety of equipment or the community of likeminded warriors driving you on to keep each day as progression.

We've needed the gyms for not only our physical health but also mental wellbeing. It's been a long time coming in the reopening and it hasn't come soon enough.

It's time to get back into the gyms, back to the bang and clang and back to the comrades in arms that greet you with a laugh and a smile and a joke about how small your arms have become over lockdown.

But let's not forget that not all gyms are created equal, not all are owned by corporations with bottomless pockets but by individuals with a passion for fitness surrounded by sharks smelling blood in the water. Without us walking through those doors day after day, before long the sharks will bite and the doors will close. Permanently. Without us those Sanctuaries of Iron could disappear to be replaced by a Primarni. Nobody wants that... 

So, to paraphrase the words of Lord Horatio Kitchener, Your Gym Needs You! Enlist and bolster the ranks of the fitness army, and to paraphrase another politician...
